I may revisit this review once I have time to use it more. Also could not import from Excel my memory setup. It cannot seem to read what I had programmed into the radio with RT Systems software. So I'm still trying to sort that out.Īnother issue is the memory functions. The button to key the mic works, but you can talk all day long and it won't send. One item I don't like is EVERY time I connect the radio, the software shuts the mic input off.
Running the program is not super difficult, but not everything is intuitive. Once that was set, it connects every time now. The initial setup in Win10 was easy to install, but connecting to the radio took some work and required getting into the Device Manager console to set the COM port. It has not been the easiest computer controller software to use, but not the hardest either. I bought this software when I bought my Icom IC-7100. I only have a little experience with computer control of the radio. encoder RC 28 (sold separately) that realizes smooth frequency change.
